What accomplishments did you make this year?”

It’s a question I ponder as I sit with my computer. I’m still in the same situation I’ve been in for 3 years. I still have no ring telling me I’m where I should be. I am rapidly approaching my mid-30s with nearly nothing to show.

I’m going to be honest. Finding the positives has been tough.

I remember laughing off the fact that in 2023 my highlight was Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour. I carelessly daydreamed that 2024 would bring with it an engagement. I thought I would find my niche and a job where I could finally find myself. I hoped that I would be on the road to my own little family and I’d finally feel like those pieces that were missing would be slowly sliding back into place.

I wasn’t right about any of that.

In fact, I feel less like I know my trajectory than I did when 2023 was coming to a close.

I had exactly one accomplishment in 2024. That accomplishment was self-publishing my very first book. My prompt book…
