The Tortured Poets Department is a literary work of honesty and beauty. At points a clear critique of our society and what it does to the artists that we put on pedestals.

To be quite honest, it’s an album that is almost inaccessible to the common listener. This is not the Taylor Swift that the critics want and you know what, that’s perfectly alright.

One of the biggest pictures TTPD paints is what you’ve done to this woman and how you’ve contributed to both making and breaking her. I say this to both the fans and the critics alike. The purple sparkly blood that dripped from our anti-hero is on your hands.

Let’s get into why TTPD is a work of art. (Even if many are going to be too single-minded to see it.)

Our Society Is Sick in the Head
