Consistency Is in Fact Key

Like so many of us, I joined Medium in 2020.

For the past three years, I’ve written in sporadic whims. There’s been a post here, a post there, that was all. I lacked a crucial factor. I lacked the consistency it takes to entertain an audience.

I’m just beginning to see that.

During those three years, I accumulated less than $15 total for my stories and articles. If you’re shaking your head right now while reading this, I understand.

However, to me, that $15 is something that I was the most proud of. It’s writing that I put out there. That I gained a sense of accomplishment. It’s not much, it hardly even buys two coffees. Yet it’s sat there to accumulate through the years.

It’s something I’m learning how to work on.

The Wind Change of November

This year has brought with it several obstacles. This includes being dropped from a content mill I had been working with thanks to the AI turnover happening.

It gave me the time to focus on what I wanted to put out into the world.

Content writing is something that I enjoy. So is blogging. Looking for employment has granted me the opportunity to build those strengths and to focus on honing the type of writing I want to build.
