Have you ever looked at your Christmas tree before and realized that it is composed of stories?

If you really think about it, each Christmas ornament is an individual story. Unless your tree is full of the round baubles most people use as filler, then maybe this isn’t the article for you.

Most households collect Christmas tree ornaments through the years. These precious memories are stored away in boxes until the Christmas season. As most families do, there’s a whole event to assemble the tree.

What most people don’t consider is that the ornaments on the tree are the storybook of a family. They tell tales of family vacations and anecdotes of who the family is.

When I Was Growing Up

Our tree was always the panicle of the room. It stood, with all of its beautiful branches, in the corner of the sunroom. That tree seemed to have an ornament on every branch.

Many of these were purchased before I was born.

There were old Macy’s ornaments, given out by the department store every year. Hallmark ones that were precious for sentimental reasons. Old salt pieces made with cookie cutters while I was in kindergarten.
