I did it! I finally cracked 100 views in one month. I’ve been a member since January 2020 and this is the first time I can say that I’ve done that.

I bet you’re shaking your head, right? That’s fair.

91 views in a week doesn’t sound like that big of a deal. Why should I be celebrating the fact that in the past 30-days my stories have been viewed a grand total of 121 times?

That’s simple! Because my writing pieces have been viewed 121 times.

For me, the fact that I’ve cracked finally cracked 100 views feels like an accomplishment. I appreciate everyone who has clicked my stories. Especially the 74 people who have taken the time to read through my pieces. It’s you who has given me the renewed sense of passion to keep going with what I love.

Let’s get into what I’ve learned for this week and those 91 views.

Share Your Writing

Get your writing out there. Share what’s in your mind with others. More than that, find a way to share your pieces.

I finally learned this week that when you put links to your pieces on Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook you start to see traction. I even found a couple of Facebook groups that share and encourage other writers. It’s been a game-changer to see others interacting with one another.

Doing this also gains you followers. People who are interested in seeing more of your writing. It feels inspiring to see those numbers grow.

You may even find stories that you gravitate towards.

Be Social With Others

Everyone else on Medium is trying to do the very same thing you are. They want to be seen too!

Take the time to look around and comment/clap on someone else’s story. Their posts are both enlightening and inspiring. You may find yourself lost reading for hours. It’ll be worth it.

Remember that everyone on Medium has their own story. They need that encouragement to keep going. They want to know that they too are being seen and heard.

Do for them what you would like them to do for you. Take a second out of your day to be that ray of sunshine reminder that there’s someone listening. Or in our case…
