When those lyrics came out of the iPhone at roughly 12:30 AM on October 21st, 2022, the world seemed to change.

At least, if you’re a Taylor Swift fan.

Even if you aren’t, you’ve probably seen an uptick in people walking around with friendship bracelets. You know, the string and beads we put together when we were 12? — They have come back in full swing. The thing is, there’s more to them than just a string of colorful beads.

I started making friendship bracelets in April for a concert that wasn’t until the end of May. There was something exciting about the thought of socializing at a concert. After all, everyone mulling around had something in common (no, I don’t mean that we fought the Great War with Ticketmaster — though that is accurate), we had an artist that we deeply respected.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: the Swiftie fandom is more than loving pop songs by a solo artist. For many of us, we’ve grown up right…
