One In A Millennial …Is Pretty Accurate

Let me first start by saying the title of Kate Kennedy’s eye-catching novel is pretty on point. One In A Millennial is an accurate depiction of the chaos by which those born within the generation constraints have all felt.

From double layering our polos and tank tops in middle school to needing to show status by owning a Razor phone. Our generation has been through the wringer.

I have never listened to Kate’s podcast Be There In Five, but I did happen across the book because of its title.

Almost every bit of cringe that Kate mentions is something that I can fully identify with. I think that most millennials will have some sort of memory to at least part of what Kate talks about. We all lived through some of the strangest coming-age behaviors together.

The Positives

Many of the topics that were covered in the book were relatable.

If you’re a millennial I don’t think there is a single one of us who doesn’t cringe when we think of our old screen names. They were our lifeline and the tags for identifying ourselves.

Let’s be honest, we all have used song lyrics to showcase our moods at least once. It’s what Instagram captions have turned into, is it not?
